Late last year we premiered a song by French rock band Irnini Mons, "Montreal." While we’re drawing closer to the release date of their debut self-titled full-length, coming April 22, we have more news to share from the group.
Simply put, because of pandemic circumstances, the band isn’t playing live as often as expected. So they’ve bridged the gap with a new live session instead, which we’re excited to shared here:
Well, first of all we wanna say how shocked we are by the war that has unfolded before our eyes in the Ukraine and our thoughts are with all the victims of this insanity. It's not easy to be doing "music business as usual" with events like this one happening in the heart of Europe…
Because of the pandemic and because this band is brand new, we didn't have the opportunity to play live once since we started.
After months of focusing on the composing and recording of our album, we were really fired up about playing our music live and embody it! That's why we decided to do a live session video. It's more personal than a videoclip and easier when it comes to sharing a bit of who we are, as a band.
Even if shows are starting to slowly happen again, we are happy to present to you Irnini Mons with a live performance video of our first single "Montreal", for all those who can't see us on an actual stage.
We hope you'll enjoy the harmonies, it was a tough one, haha!
“Montreal” appears on the soon-to-release record, which is available from Taken By Surprise Records (DE) and Another Record (FR).
