Consider Scene Point Blank a friend of Conan Neutron & the Secret Friends -- and this time we have a new video from the band that we’re excited to debut to the world: “A Villain of Circumstance.”
The song comes from The Way of the Neutron, released this March (Seismic Wave Entertainment).
It’s a classic story-video, directed by Gram Valentin and edited by Rick Valentin where you can watch Mr. Neutron and a talented cast featuring the current live band and others.
“The song is a tonal and spiritual sequel to our song ‘Chesapeake Ripper' on Art of Murder, perceived villainy absent context,” Conan tells us. “It is one of the poppiest songs off of The Way of the Neutron and features background vocals by the incredible Kate Wakefield of Lung.”
“The video is an homage to film noir and Neo noir, all the way up to the title cards,” he adds. “Inspirations include: The Big Combo, Detour, After Hours, Kiss Me Deadly, Pusher.”
The band hits the road later this month, with more dates pending confirmation.
