With the demise of Some Girls and the considerable downtime of The Locust, Justin Pearson got the itch to do something new. He teamed up with fellow Some Girls cohort Nathan Joyner and Maniqui Lazers Jung Sing to form All Leather
All Leather ventures towards slightly different territory that previous Pearson projects, and yet there is still that distinct sound that one has come to expect from his output. Hung Like a Horse is a five-song EP that walks the line between electronica, punk, grindcore, and dance-pop. If you could imagine a battle between of The Locust and any bass-heavy dance/raver music youd be along the right line. As the Hog Pisseth is as accessible as Pearson has ever been, his vocals are decipherable. Some songs are more dance-oriented Audios Mi Amoebas while others venture closer towards screamo Were Skrewed.
All Leather isnt for everyone - that is for sure. If you havent enjoyed any previous material from the individuals involved I doubt youll find All Leather worth your time. It is polarizing, even for those that have heard it all.
