This Time Next Year (Anthony Allio)

What are your top five albums that were released in 2008?

  1. Polar Bear Club - Sometimes Things Just Disappear
  2. Alkaline Trio - Agony and Irony
  3. Blacklisted - Heavier than Heaven, Lonelier than God
  4. Hit the Lights - Skip School, Start Fights
  5. 2*Sweet - Sleep Without Dreams

What band did you discover in 2008 (can be a brand new band or an older band) that had an impact on your life? What made them significant?

I wouldn't say discovered because I've been a fan of this band for years, but I did discover I Am the Avalanche's new demos and they are the best songs musically and lyrically I've heard in a long time.

How will you remember 2008? (In terms of music)

I got to see a lot of incredible bands this year.

Vinyl record sales saw a significant increase this year while hard copy sales continued to dwindle. Is this a return to the glory days for vinyl or just a phase? Explain.

I think the fact that hardcore is so big now days, that it influences other genres of music to where kids who are into hardcore now want to buy records for other genres or further their collections. I hope it's not a phase, vinyl rules.

What was the most memorable moment for you in 2008? (Can be in terms of anything)

Becoming a part of the Equal Vision family is a huge accomplishment for the whole band. Also, personally because EVR has released a lot of my favorite records.

What can we look forward to from you in 2009?

A full-length and touring non stop!

What three records are you looking forward to most in 2009?

Fireworks, New Found Glory, and Two Tongues
