Pulling Teeth/Pala

(Chris Kuhn)

What are your top five albums that were released in 2009? (In order 1-5)

  1. Propagandhi - Supporting Caste

  2. Lewd Acts - Black Eye Blues

  3. City of Ships - Look What God Did to Us

  4. Polar Bear Club - Chasing Hamburg

  5. Strike Anywhere - Iron Front

What band did you discover in 2009 (can be a brand new band or an older band) that had an impact on your life? What made them significant?

My band toured with Lewd Acts in the spring. Few bands get me really excited. Every night I watched this band I had this weird anxious feeling in my stomach, like when you just get off of work and you head to the bar to get this sick three for one happy hour deal, and you've been looking forward to it all day because you hate your boring job and seeing your best friends who also hate their jobs. That's the feeling I get when I see this band. Here's what made them significant: they are all competent at their instruments. Tyler can sing on key and on time.

How will you remember 2009? (In terms of music)

PROPAGANDHI PLAYED BALTIMORE!

2009 was a huge year for reunions. What reunion excited you the most? What band that has not reunited would you love to see play/record most in 2010?

It's a tie between Small Brown Bike and The Get Up Kids. I saw Small Brown Bike at The Fest. I saw Get Up Kids in London. I would really like to see Planes Mistaken for Stars get back together

What can we look forward to from you in 2010?

Pala LP and EP. And getting my degree in education.

What three records are you looking forward to most in 2010?

Matt Skiba - Demos, Alkaline Trio - The Addiction, and Ceremony.
