This Time Next Year

(Anthony Allio)

What are your top five albums that were released in 2009? (In order 1-5)

  1. Fireworks - All I Have To Offer Is My Own Confusion

  2. Frank Turner - Poetry Of The Deed

  3. Trapped Under Ice - Secrets Of The World

  4. Blacklisted - No One Deserves To Be Here More Than Me

  5. The Avett Brothers - I And Love And You

What band did you discover in 2009 (can be a brand new band or an older band) that had an impact on your life? What made them significant?

I discovered Frank Turner this year, which is the best thing I've discovered musically and lyrically in a long time. Ironically I heard his first record a couple weeks before Poetry Of The Deed came out, so I guess I didn't have to wait too long for a new release.

How will you remember 2009? (In terms of music)

A lot of awesome records came out this year. Narrowing my list to a top five was pretty brutal. Also, my band put out our first full length so I'll remember 2009 for that as well.

2009 was a huge year for reunions. What reunion excited you the most? What band that has not reunited would you love to see play/record most in 2010?

Seeing The Get Up Kids this year was pretty incredible. Piebald playing Bamboozle next year is pretty awesome too, hoping to see that. There's a lot of bands I would love to see. Midtown would be awesome

What can we look forward to from you in 2010?

This Time Next Year is just going to be touring a lot next year again. The first thing going is a full U.S. with Four Year Strong, Strike Anywhere, The Bled, and Title Fight which is going to be a blast. Hopefully some overseas touring also.

What three records are you looking forward to most in 2010?

I Am The Avalanche, Saves The Day, and Crime In Stereo
