Top Five Reasons Why I Know Captain America Isn't Really Dead.

  1. Sure Captain America got shot three times. But he also "died" before when the rocket he was on exploded and sent him into the icy depths. If the man can survive a rocket blowing up in his face, he surely survive a couple of gunshot wounds.

  2. Somehow the Red Skull and Arnim Zola have Cap's body and using Dr. Doom's reverse engineering they will bring Steve Rogers back and under their evil control.

  3. Tony Stark used a Life Decoy Model in the casket at Arlington. What's stopping him from keeping the real body of Captain America in a suspended state? The exact same state he was in when The Avengers retrieved his body from the North Atlantic. There's a ton of LDM running around, Iron Man could have easily put one in the casket that he, The Wasp, Yellowjacket, and The Submariner lowered in to the frozen depth of the Arctic Sea.

  4. George Lucas ruined Star Wars. The Transformers has been getting mixed reviews. How many more pieces of my childhood need to be destroyed? You can't kill Captain America because it kills a little piece of me.

  5. Superman has come back. I don't know how many times Jean Grey has come back to make Scott Summers more whiny. Green Arrow came back. Green Lantern came back, even after being the Spirit of Vengeance. The Flash seems to come back after every Crisis. Professor X has been dead more times than he's been able to walk. Heroes just don't die? They always come back. Please Captain America, come back.

Top Five Comedians To Check Out In 2007

  1. Eugene Mirman - A New York native by way of Russia, Mirman works mostly with absurdist humor but with a varied style of delivery including storytelling, scenario based humor, and everyday observation. YouTube has several of his homemade shorts, including my favorites "Scotch and Soda" and "Eugene Mirman: Undercover Cop." If you like what you hear be sure to check out his latest album of stand up, En Garde, Society. Did I forget to mention he also holds an actual college degree in comedy? A gentleman and a scholar indeed.

  2. Zach Galafinakis - Some of you may recognize him from the film Out Cold, but Galafinakis is the epitome of underground comedy, with little film and television exposure while also opting to play in all ages rock clubs more often than twenty-one plus comedy clubs with a two drink minimum. For a good introduction to his work check out his new DVD, Live at the Purple Onion, which includes both stand up performances and a nice documentary style feature that provides insight in to the life of a touring comedian. He's also good friends with Fiona Apple, if any of you are impressed with that sort of thing.

  3. Demetri Martin - Though he's been at it for some time, the soft-spoken Demtri Martin has been making some noise in the comedy scene in the last year or two. An innovator in prop based comedy-without being lame like Carrot Top, Martin has been known to use a guitar as well as flow charts and power point presentations in his routine. His album These are Jokes is worth checking out.

  4. Brian Pohsen - One look at this guy and you'll instantly recognize him as "that guy from that thing." He's appeared in a number of films, commercials, and television shows, most notably as the mail guy on Just Shoot Me. His actually stand up work is kind of hit or miss, sometimes relying too much on the dick and fart jokes, but his last album Live: In Nerd Rage was released on Relapse Records and he cites himself as being "Six feet 6.6 inches tall, the height of the beast." If those two factors don't earn him a mention, I don't know what does.

  5. Leo Allen - Those familiar with the stand up scene in New York City will probably know him from all his work with the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, but for those new to the name Leo Allen, his work is a nice mix of stand up and sketch comedy. As far as I know he has no recorded albums, but there are several videos of his work on Youtube. It may take him a few years but it's only a matter of time before he winds up as the next Conan O'Brien.
