The Goons

Serge (The Goons - vocals)

SPB: How did writing the new material compare to when you sat down and started work on your last record – 19 years ago?

Serge: The old stuff was written more collaboratively than the recent songs. These days we don’t get together as often as we did ‘cause we’re a bit more spread out instead of multiple band members living under the same roof. We all had some backlogged riffs and songs that got thought out more in isolation for the Mars 7”.

We took a few months off since its release to find a new drummer, so I see us getting back to a more collaborative effort as we’re writing this next batch of songs we’re working on. We’re hoping to have another release out soon!
