The Went Wrongs
The Went Wrongs

Steven Douglas Jenkins (The Went Wrongs - vocals/guitar)

SPB: Who does the majority of the band’s driving (is there a reason or a story as to why)?

SDJ: When we play out of town, we usually split the driving, but if I had to choose who does it most, that would be me, since I’m the band dad. No crazy story or anything. I think every band has a band parent who wags fingers, wipes noses and squeezes cheeks. In our band, that’s typically me, Steven. When we’ve had a few drinks at the show, though, Will is gracious enough to do the driving. He doesn’t drink.

Unseemlier

It was about a year ago I discovered Unseemlier, shortly before the release of I Have A Screw Loose, Somewhere. It's a wordy title and a somewhat unwieldy band name -- and I’ll use that “a lot going on in a little space” metaphor even further to talk about the … Read more

Guest List: War On Women

Music / The Set List • April 24, 2026

It feels like a lifetime ago when Mitt Romney referenced a "war on women" during the 2012 presidential cycle. A lot has changed, a lot has stayed the same -- but a new politically-charged band formed in the aftermath of that comment, calling themselves War On Women. Now, roughly 14 … Read more

This Isn't What I Ordered
Transcendental Revolution (2026)

I'm not sure what's happening to me in middle age. I used to find samples clever and a nice change-of-pace technique on albums. But lately I feel like they interrupt instead of compliment what I'm hearing. This Isn't What I Ordered starts off really strong with fast, melodic and personalized punk over the first few songs. Then the sound clips … Read more
