Thirty-one years young, The Bouncing Souls announced today that their next record will be on Pure Noise Records. To kick off the news, they also shared a new song titled "World on Fire," which was recorded during already-scheduled studio time just prior to COVID-19 related shutdowns across the US.

"We were in the studio when the pandemic was just beginning to get a head of steam. There were so many question marks and no one really knew what was going on, this song came out of that moment. It came out of the question marks and the not knowing. This is a song to acknowledge how upside down the world seems to be in these times, and it’s a song about keeping the light in sight," says guitarist Pete Steinkopf.

The band released Crucial Moments EP last year to mark its 30th anniversary.

Rise (2012)

After nearly everyone has finally stopped paying attention, the Bouncing Souls put out a new album. And holy shit is it ever underwhelming. Chunksaah (2010)

As life continually changes, sometimes constancy is important. Putting in Ghosts on the Boardwalk, the twenty-year anniversary release from The Bouncing Souls, reminds me of times past. Not only does the band sound much like they did a half dozen records ago, but the release comes on their own label, Chunksaah, which started at the same time. This release, a … Read more
