J. Wang's home-recorded new project, Come Closer, has announced its full-length album Pretty Garbage will release in April on Pirates Press (though still no exact date).

Wang, who has also played with Dan Padilla, Tiltwheel, Shallow Cuts, and more, shared a song called "High Life" this week, explaining:

"The song is about San Diego Legend Jason Weedon. He was the frontman for Run For Your Fucking Life and also played in the Kids, Tori Cobras as well as Sunnyside. Jason passed away unexpectedly in July of 2019," Wang, says, adding that the song was written in roughly 30 minutes shortly after Weedon's passing and it was the first song recorded for the album.

While the album is still to come, "High Life" will also be released on picture flexis by Pirates Press (and included in all mailorders while supplies last). Listen to the song after the bump, and seek out some of Weedon's works too.

J. Wang has played in a lot of bands: Dan Padilla, Tiltwheel, Altaira, and Shallow Cuts, to name a few.
