Vivian Girls sign to Polyvinyl

Posted by Jon E. on September 18, 2010

Vivian Girls are in the process of cranking out their third album. As Exclaim! reports, the Brooklyn garage-poppers have moved on from their previous label home at In the Red, and they've titled their new joint Share the Joy. And now we can report that Share the Joy is due for a spring 2011 release on Polyvinyl. Vivian Girls are not done recording the album yet, but they've got plenty of side projects to keep them busy before the record drops.

Guitarist Cassie Ramone also leads another band, the Babies, with Woods' Kevin Morby. They've recorded an album for Shrimper, and it's tentatively set for a November release. Ramone will also release a solo album called Zenith on In the Red early in 2011.

Bassist Katy Goodman (perhaps better known as Kickball Katy) also has a solo project called La Sera. On November 16, she'll release a 7" single, "Never Come Around" b/w "Behind Your Eyes", on Hardly Art. She's also got her own album coming early in 2011.
