A Pelagic compilation to benefit Ukrainian refugees

Available on June 3, Pelagic Records has put together a two volume compilation to raise support for Ukrainian war refugees.
"In the light of the current events and the tragedy in Ukraine, we would like to contribute something to helping war refugees who have lost their homes and are arriving by the thousands in Berlin day by day," the label says, noting that 100% of profits will be donated to Be an Angel e.V. Berlin.

Limited to 200 hand-numbered copies, the compilation will be sold on double cassette and features exclusive, previously unreleased material from Mono, Arabrot, Psychonaut, Som, Year of No Light, and more.

"Will this ever be released on vinyl?" the label asks. "We have no plans at the moment, lead times are too long and hopefully by the time we’d get vinyl the war will be over. But never say never..."

Year Of No Light’s emotive instrumental approach is one that embraces the deeper, heavier side of post/sludge/atmospheric music and the cavernous melodies that they dredge up from the darkest pits of night are terrifying and weighty.
