Rebuilder, a melodic punk band from Boston, MA, has joined the A-F Records family. The band shares "Hold On," a new song, along with the announcement -- their first new tune in three years.
“I was emotionally exhausted. The pandemic was happening, my best friend/roommate had moved away, and my outlet of playing shows didn’t exist anymore. I wasn’t even sure if myself or the band wanted to be a band” says Rebuilder singer/guitarist Sal Ellington. “Jay [Maas] told me something along the lines of ‘You’ve worked really hard and if you have this thing that you love a lot and don’t think you should end it. I wouldn’t let that go’. It stuck with me and I just kept writing and tried to trust myself as much as I could.”
Which inspired "Hold On," shared below.
The band has faced many challenges, coming out of hiatus in 2019 only to meet a global pandemic and new challenges and delays. WIth a new song completed and a partnership with A-F, more new material is expected soon. Band names are hit and miss, but Rebuilder feels fitting.
