Austin, TX based band Social Dissonance has joined Angry Tooth Records.
Formed in 2020, the heavy band straddles many genre lines including grunge, punk, metal, and alternative rock with politically minded lyrics.
In a statement, label head G. McCloskey (also of Böndbreakr) says:
“Social Dissonance has been on my radar since their debut a few years back. Their politically charged lyrics and outspoken stance on social issues affecting our local community and the broader United States have always resonated with me...I've always considered them a very strong band, but when they played the CreateLadyJ's Juneteenth event on her AggroNation Tour stop in Austin this year, their energy was further charged by heavier tones and a captivating stage presence. It was immediately clear they'd become a band to watch, and I wanted Angry Tooth Records to support them however we could.”
Expect an album to come. The label and band are partnering on a live show at Vinyl Beauty Bar in Austin on Friday, October 30 in the meantime.
