LY has a new single out: "Fake Friends" b/w "Witchy Burn." The A-side is a Joan Jett cover where Jett herself contributes guest vocals. B-Side "Witchy Burn" is a spookified, slowed down take on the song "Burn Baby," which appeared on last year's Scatter the Rats album.

The single was originalled to release for L7's New Zealand/Australian tour in May, which has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. “When the tour got cancelled due to this horrible virus, we decided to release the tracks as a way to keep our fans’ spirits up a bit, as well as our own,” Donita Sparks explains. “New material gets everyone excited and happy and maybe gets them dancing around their cribs. That’s something positive the band can do for our fans in these uncertain times.”

Donita Sparks is also the host of a weekly variety show on the "We Are Hear: On The Air" streaming network.
