En route to The Fest 20, Church Girls have shared a new single along with dates as they travel south to Gainesville.

Courtesy of Anchor Eighty Four Records (US) and Big Scary Monsters (EU/UK), the band presents "I Hate This House."

Playing indie-punk with an angry spin, the new single was mix by Save Schiffman (PUP, Prince Daddy & the Hyena) and follows the group's 2021 album, Still Blooms.

Vocalist Mariel Beaumont explains some inspiration behind the song:

A friend came to stay with me seeking respite form a brutal divorce...We were days away from our recording session, needing lyrics for the instrumental demo we'd worked on as a band. This song is for him, but about the collapse of any relationship where you find yourselves endlessly repeating the same unhealthy patterns.
