Big Life will release their debut EP later this month.

The band, formed by guitarist Ryan Allen (Extra Arms) takes a positive spin not just on punk rock, but on life, making music with a make-the-most-of-it attitude in a world often overrun by cynicism. Vocalist Dan Nixon, drummer Jordan Vonzynda (Hidebehind), and bassist Sean Gauvreau (Grey Gardens) round out the lineup, playing Dischord Records-influenced, heartfelt punk on full display in their latest single, "Your Truth."

Singer/lyricist Dan Nixon explains:

“Your Truth" is about a kind of person that used to be pretty easy to ignore, but in recent years just seems unavoidable due to social media and the internet. They're seduced by all the scams, conspiracies, and outright propaganda online, and develop their own impenetrable worldview where they're under attack, and everything is someone else's fault. Their life hasn't turned out the way they hoped, so everyone else must have a secret agenda to fuck them over, right?

They're convinced that being wrong occasionally is a sign of weakness, and hearing a different point of view means that someone is trying to "indoctrinate" them, so any challenge to the set of facts they've chosen from the chuds they align themselves with is met with tough guy bravado.

Their entire personality becomes "being right online”, and almost every interaction is an opportunity to draw you into an argument to prove it.

The cassette releases via Setterwind Records.
