In late February, Bazillion Points books published a new book titled Texas Is The Reason: The Mavericks of Lone Star Punk, which compiles essays and black and white photos archiving and exploring the Texas punk scene, beginning in 1978.


With a rich local history that includes the Big Boys, the Dicks, and the Huns, the book includes essays by David Yow (Scratch Acid/Jesus Lizard), Teresa Taylor (Butthole Surfers), director Richard Linklater (Slacker/School of Rock, and more.
