Bazillion Points Books has announced My War on Wilshire: Black Flag vs. the Wilshire Federal Building...and the Vex. The Michael Pearson book is primiarily composed of photography from two 1983 shows:
On Independence Day, 1983, Black Flag spread out under a blue sky on the terrace of FBI headquarters in Los Angeles. Weeks later on July 23, they crammed into the dangerous black hole known as the Vex. Michael Pearson was a punk with a camera, and he captured both events in vivid, pulsing color.
Per the publisher:
We've assembled a few words from people who were there, including a cast of L.A. punk characters and opening bands such as Saint Vitus, but mainly we let the photos do the talking. The pics have a lot to say.
