Matt Skiba of Alkaline Trio is working on a solo album, which may possibly be released via Asian Man Records. Here is what the label had to say in their latest newsletter:
There’s a good chance we will be releasing the new solo album from MATT SKIBA. This is not 100%, but I talked to Matt last week and he is the one who brought up that he really wants Asian Man to put out his solo record. Pretty exciting. The fact that the new trio record is going to be self released by the band and that Matt Allison is producing (he did Goddamnit and Maybe I’ll Catch Fire) is enough reason to do jumping jacks, but now a SKIBA solo release on Asian Man?? That would be over the top great.
