The annual PDX Pop Now! compilation featuring all Portland, OR musicians is set for a June 2 release. Over the years, the compilation has included the likes of The Decemberists, The Thermals, The Shins, Lifesavas, Menomena, Blitzen Trapper, Red Fang, Yacht, Y La Bamba, Sleater Kinney, Britt Daniels, and many more. In conjunction with the compilation is the PDX Pop Now! Festival, started in 2003. The agency is a non-profit whose mission statement aims to make music more accessible to all: reaching across age and economic barriers that often hinder citizens abilities to see live performances.

The 3-day festival will be held from July 22-24 at Refuge PDX in Portland. The official line-up is yet to be released.
