Misfits planning new album in October

Posted by Loren on August 23, 2011

The Misfits recently announced their first all new album in nearly a decade. Misfits Records will release The Devil's Rain on October 4. The record is produced by Ed Stasium, who has worked on albums such as the Ramones' Road to Ruin and Too Tough to Die, in addition to the Misfits' 1999 release Famous Monsters.

Formed in 1977, the band has been influential on numerous artists over the years. The current line-up includes original member Jerry Only on vocals and bass, Dez Cadena on guitar (Black Flag), and Eric Arce on drums. They are planning a US tour in September.
