Out on June 3, Scene Point Blank is featuring I Wanna Go Back to Detroit City from the 79 years young Andre Williams this month, released courtesy of Bloodshot Records.

First moving to Detroit in the 1960s, Williams returns to the city on this album, his fifth with Bloodshot. The record was recorded near the former site of Fortune Records, now a field, representative of the changes to the city. Mixing low end funk, country blues, and gritty honestly, I Wanna Go Back to Detroit City is an emotional journey, both personal and universal.
