American Noise: Vol. 2 coming on limited press vinyl

Dirtnap Records, who previously released American Noise: Vol 1 -- a limited edition vinyl soundtrack to The Smart Studios Story, a documentary about the history of Madison, Wisconsin's Smart Studios. The film itself explores 30 years of recording history from the heart of the Midwest, with the soundtrack specifically featuring early Butch Vig recorded material.

Vol. 1 featured local unsigned bands, while Vol. 2 features artists who traveled from other parts of the US to record at the studio between 1987 and 1993. The soundtrack includes tracks by Killdozer, TAD, Cherubs, Die Kreuzen, The Cruifucks, and more (full track listing belowO for labels ranging from Sub Pop, Touch and Go, and Alternative Tentacles.
