Ron Varod's solo project ZVI has announced a new album on a new label in the new year. To be titled Deer Pink, the Kayo Dot, Sabbath Assembly, Psalm Zero, and So Is The Tongue member's new album will be released on Nefarious Industries in the spring. It is his third solo effort and was made with producer Randall Dunn (Sunn O))) and Anna Von Hausswolff, Boris), utilizing psychedelic analog synths and warped drum machines while "almost flirting with pop melodies and forms," the press releases promises.

A limited edition companion 7" with a cover song will accompany the new album. Varod began ZVI in 2004.
