L7 to release new full-length: their first in 20 years
L7 - Scatter the Rats

The reformed L7 has two exciting bits of news for the coming year. First, the band will release a new full-length album on May 3. The album is titled on Scatter the Rats and its due on Blackheart Records (founded by Joan Jett) and has 11 new songs in total. It will be the band's first new album since Slap-Happy in 1999.

Scatter the Rats takes its title from the recording sessions. “There were a couple of rats in the basement of the studio, where all the amplifiers were," says Donita Sparks. "At one point Norm [Block, producer] said to us, ‘Let’s get rockin’, we can scatter the rats.'"

The teaser is out now online and in physical format soon. A limited EP "Burn Baby b/w Fighting the Crave" will be available on Record Store Day 2019. Check out the "Burn Baby" video below.

The band is also booked for the The Bash Music & Craft Beer Festival National Tour, which also features Rancid, Suicidal Tendencies, and more (with different lineups in different cities).
