Rooted in Cleveland, Signals Midwest are back with Pin on August 2 on Lauren Records. The new album consists of six songs that showcase the sound the band has honed through 11 years in the game.

The album is also notable for the addition of new bassist Ryan Williamson, and that it was created as the band members have relocated to different cities, writing the record from their respective homes in Cleveland, Philadelphia, and Pittsburgh.

The band debuted "Your New Old Apartment," which also features guest vocals by Deanna Belos (Sincere Engineer).

Track list:

1. Pin
2. Sanctuary City

The Cleveland band uses their Midwestern sensibility in their sound—it’s gritty, honest, and non-showy—but it’s also too distinct to tie to a geographic area. The band uses a punk influence throughout while playing … Read more

Latitudes & Longitudes
Tiny Engines (2011)

Placing the band Signals Midwest into a genre is a difficult task; their latest release Longitudes and Latitudes is a beautiful mesh of melodic interludes, upbeat pop punk and gritty punk rock. Having this many influences in your work can often lead to great things being lost in translation and the overall result being muddled. However, you can fully appreciate … Read more
