Ipecac Recordings will release a collaboration between JG Thirlwell and Simon Steensland, titled Oscillospira and set to release on April 24. Thirlwell is known for compositions/performances/and production with Melvins, Swans, Zola Jesus, and TV shows Archer and Venture Bros. Steensland is a multi-instrumentalist and theatre composer.

The two have distinctly different strles, but the collaboration is defined as "characterized by dramatic intensity, shadowy suspense, darkness and light, sometimes breathtaking and always evocative. Oscillospira is an odyssey of dark chamber prog with a cinematic bent, largely instrumental album with eerie choral parts."
