Chicago-based The Webstires have a new batch of material coming out soon: a self-titled album, the band's sixth overall, due later thsi fall. A new video for "Fiction" is out now and shared below.
The record was recorded with producer Matt Allison (Lawrence Arms/Alkaline Trio) and continues the band's melodic rock, inspired by rich classic harmonies from the '60s and '70s. The lineup on the new record also features new but familiar faces to those in the Chicago scene: bassist Gregg Juhlin (The Slugs) and guitarist/vocalist Doug Bobenhouse. (The Sun Sawed in Half).
“We actually originally started to write a solo album for Doug,” says the bands founder, Preson Pisellini. “But after a couple of songs, we realized we were actually working on a new Webstirs album”.
