With a new album out on April 7, Hiram-Maxim has shared a new single today: "Alpha."

"When Balmer built the patch on their synth they named it “Alpha." I used that title as a theme for the lyrics and kept it as the title for the song," vocalist Fred Gunn says of the track, with Balmer adding, "I thought there was no way I was gonna get away with using that arpeggios and now it's the foundation of the song."

The band has two previous LPs with the original lineup, then a new EP in 2021 after Balmer replaced Lisa Miralia.

The group will release Colder in April.
