The Kinks 60th anniversary collections

Formed in 1963, 2023 marks the 60th anniversary of British rock group The Kinks. To mark the milestone, the band will release a series of collections over the next two years, beginning with The Journey - Part 1, available March 24 via BMG. The songs on the collection were curated by founding brothers Ray and Dave Davies and member Mick Avory, all of which have been remastered from the original sources. Part 2 will release later in 2023, with additional "Kinks 60" events expected but not formally announced at present.

In the past half-decade-plus, the band has sold over 50 million records, with five US Top 10 singles, nine US Top 40 albums, seventeen UK Top 20 singles and five UK Top 10 albums, with four albums certified Gold.
