Ipecac Recordings will release Love's Holiday, a new full-length from Oxbox, on July 21. The new record includes 10 songs in total and is their first new music in six years. "1000 Hours," the first single, is shared below. The track also features Roger Joseph Manning Jr. (Jellyfish/Beck).

“The music was chiefly inspired by and written for my family. We’ve had two children born and my father die while writing and working on this record,” says guitarist Niko Wenner. “The songs are just a collection of music that I sang to my babies and then wrote guitar parts for, and brought to the band as, OXBOW songs.”

“I’ve always been chagrined that no one understood that our songs were love songs,” adds vocalist/lyricist Eugene Robinson.

Love's Holiday will release on vinyl, cd, and digitally.

Love’s Holiday track listing:

1.    Dead Ahead

2.    Icy White & Crystalline

3.    Lovely Murk

4.    1000 Hours

5.    All Gone

6.    The Night The Room Started Burning

7.    “ “

8.    Million Dollar Weekend

9.    The Second Talk

10. Gunwale

I first saw Oxbow perform live back in 2007. The band has just released their then new album, The Narcotic Story, and the experience was simply beyond words. The Narcotic Story
Hydra Head (2007)

It's impossible for me to give The Narcotic Story a fair review. We hope your level of … Read more

When I reviewed The Very Best of Men's Recovery Project recently, I thought that there couldn't be a band less suited for a "greatest hits" release. Obviously, I had forgotten about Oxbow. To put it simply, Oxbow is one of the most intense and challenging bands in America today. Oxbow sounds like an uneasy mix of the delta blues at … Read more
