On June 2, Say-10 Records released The Pink and Black Album, the debut full-length from queer anarcho-punk band Dog Park Dissidents. The new record is a combination of the group's previous EPs, remixed by Reade Wolcott (We Are the Union) and remastered by Jack Shirley.
“We’ve been playing these songs to packed rooms of queer kids who tell us we’ve inspired them to be themselves,” vocalist Zac Xeper. says of the release “This record is not a mere rerelease of our previous catalog, this is everything we’ve been pouring our hearts into for years, finally arranged and sequenced into one cohesive piece of art. This is us ready to reach the whole world, to tell all the queer and trans people in the world who are watching all their hard-won safety and acceptance get chipped away by a resurgent right wing: you are not alone. You don’t have to hide.”
Members reside in multiple cities, with 3 of 5 based in New Orleans, LA. The band will soon enter the studio with plans for another full-length in 2024.
