A 2xLP collection of material from San Diego, Ca based Heroin, active 1991-1993, will soon release via Southern Lord. Simply titled Discography, it is now playing on Bandcamp (below), and hits both DSPs and vinyl on July 28.
Playing hardcore/punk, the band influenced the post-hardcore and screamo movements, releasing several out of print vinyl 7" and 12"s, that are now compiled on a double gatefold LP.
In a statement, the band offers:
Heroin was a product of our time and our youth so I’m sure we would be unrecognizable if we kept putting out records for thirty years… I think our overall spirit could be relevant today because our lyrics and message were mostly existentialist observations and kind of just poetry.
