June 6 is the release date for album number 2 from Dead History . The record will be titled Departures, out on Landland Colportage.

Members have (and in some of these cases still do) played with Gratitude, Align, Picturesque, Floodplain, Rad Owl, Reach, Story of the Sea, and The Book of Dead Names, and play punk-influenced melodic post-somethingorother. Just listen and slap your own label on it -- we're embedded "Good Buddy" below.

“We really wanted to explore the full spectrum of what was available to us with a singer as versatile as Brad [Senne],” drummer David Jarnstrom says of the record. “Brad can howl to the point where you think your eardrums just might explode, but he can also make you break down and cry in his more tender moments. Departures contains our most beautiful and our most intense material -- sometimes all in the same song. There’s moments where you can hear a pin drop, and times when it sounds like a jet engine taking off.”

The band released a self-titled album in 2021.
