Drain...Is Your Friend

Posted by Loren on June 10, 2025

Drain has announced ...Is Your Friend (2023), out Nov. 7 on Epitaph.

The new album is the third from the Santa Cruz, CA hardcore band.

"Nights Like These" is the first single.

“When we were coming up with ideas for this video, I thought it would be so cool to try and make us look old and play a show as seniors,” says the band's Sammy Ciaramitaro. “We could have gone the route of using make-up and practical effects, but then it clicked in my brain...I am going to look just like my dad when I get old -- I should just use him.”

The band will be touring much of the summer, including multiple festival dates.

California Cursed
Revelation (2020)

Santa Cruz is a convoluted place. It feels like the rest of the country erroneously thinks Santa Cruz is just like Santa Monica. It’s much more of a town than a city, and in a lot of ways it’s a microcosm of everything in California: conflicted and nuanced, beauty found at a high price with an oft-ignored grimy underbelly.
