Vancouver punk band Alien Boys has a new EP out on June 11, and Scene Point Blank is excited to feature a full stream. The record, Live at Rain City Recorders, gives away the theme in its title -- the 4-song record was recorded live, in a single take, at the Vancouver studio, working with producer Jesse Gander.
"We've been a DIY band for nearly 10 years. We've gone through everything together, every stress test you can think of. This project, this release, it's an acknowledgement of our journey -- it's both a celebration of our authenticity and an act of catharsis,” vocalist Sarrin tells us.
The quick-play EP captures the band’s fierce, direct sound that, quite literally, screams with urgency about the state of the world today. Plus a PJ Harvey cover too.
Formed in 2016, Alien Boys previously released a demo and two full-lengths, most recently The Weight Of It All (2023).
