LA melodic punk band For Closure has a new 3-song EP coming next month -- with 1/3 of the record streaming now (the title track, below). The band will release Take Two on Sept. 12 on Mindpower Records.
The band is fronted by Gizz Lazlo, formerly the drummer of Dr. Know, U.K. Subs, and The Freeze, and they released a full-length album called Cliffside Serenades last year.
“‘Take Two’ is a story about two people who find each other, but as in the movies, one takes this bond as sacred and meaningful, while the other is just in it for what they can get,” Lazlo says. “Once that trust is broken you shouldn’t go back or let them back in. Life and love shouldn’t be like a movie -- because in the end, there’s no ‘Take Two.’”
The EP also features a piano-driven closing track and a Doughboys cover in the middle.
