Drowse (Kyle Bates) and Ragana (Maria and Noel) have teamed up on a collaborative new LP inspired by the 1980 eruption of Mount St. Helends in the Pacific Northwest, fittingly titled Ash Souvenir. The concept was originally originally commissioned by and premiered at the 2024 edition of Roadburn Festival in Tilburg, Netherlands and was later recorded in Washington state, USA.

While inspired by the volcano, the artists inflict their own personal turmoil into the project as well -- very much on display in "In Eternal Woods Pts. 2 & 3" (below).

Drowse most recently released a split LP in 2023 with Amulets, whereas Ash Souvenir follows Ragana's Desolation's Flower, also released in 2023. The new collaboration will release on Nov. 14 via The Flenser.

Ash Souvenir track list:

  1. In Eternal Woods Pts. 1-3
  2. After Image
  3. In Eternal Woods Pt. 4
  4. Ash Souvenir
