Following their 2023 demo, Baltimore hardcore band Ousted is back with their debut EP called How Do You Cope?
The answer to that question lies within the 7 songs on this heavyhitting EP that adds metallic flourishes and gang vocals atop a hardcore base. It's punchy and potent, equally dark and cathartic at the same time.
"The overall feeling and reoccurring theme is based a lot around the stages grief. From anger and bitterness, to depression and anxiety," vocalist Sean Reilly tells us.
"I like to think that the album title can also stand out to people in various ways and mean something totally different to each person. Whether it’s issues of mental/physical health, grief, or just everyday stresses of life. How you react to adversity, and building coping skills to get through it goes a long way. This band and writing this album lyrically 100% helped guide me through a lot of hardships over the last few years."
