Known for his work with Oxbow, Whipping Boy, and Bunuel, Eugene S. Robinson, has shared the single "I Gotta Be Me," out via Ako-Lite Records -- his first solo single and an early preview of a forthcoming full-length to release next year.

The album will be titled Eugene Sings!, a collection of reimagined songs from the Great American Songbook.

“If you were blood-related to me, you’ve been hearing me sing some of these songs forever. If you’re not blood-related to me, you get to hear me sing them now,” Robinson says in a press statement. “With not even the slightest bit of irony, I can tell you that I sing them because I love them. And to find a label that wanted me to give voice to them? Perfection. Feast your feels”.
