Bitter Branches branch out with new record
Bitter Branches - Let's Give The Land Back To The Animals

Bitter Branches, of Philadelphia, PA, has announced a new album on the way called Let's Give The Land Back To The Animals. The new record comes out on Equal Vision Records on March 6.

The band shared a single this winter called "Basic Karate" and now unveils another new track, "Cave Dwellers."

The post-hardcore band released Your Neighbors Are Failures (2022) and currently boast a lineup of vocalist Tim Singer (Deadguy, Kiss It Goodbye), drummer Jeff Tirabassi (Walleye), guitarists Matt Ryan (Cavalry) and Kevin Sommerville (Lighten Up!), and bassist/vocalist Dan Yemin (Paint It Black, Kid Dynamite, Lifetime). To keep the names flowing, the new album was recorded by J. Robbins.

“On our first record I feel like we were all trying to get our feet underneath it, but on this one we really wanted to lean into the groove,” Tirabassi says in a press release. “On a fanboy level, especially for us old heads, it scratches that Jesus Lizard itch; a little bit of exploring a lane over there instead of the typical lanes,” Singer adds. “There’s a lot in that post-hardcore lane that we all love that I don’t think is explored enough … or at least not by the right people.”

Let’s Give the Land Back to the Animals track listing:

  1. Rat Poison
  2. Cave Dwellers
  3. Pity Party
  4. Basic Karate
  5. Posture Contest
  6. Everything Must Go
  7. High Street
  8. 7-11
  9. Fine Powder
  10. Here Comes the Chisel
