March 13 is the release date for Security, the latest album from Fotocrime, releasing via Auxiliary/Shirt Killer on vinyl and Artoffact on cd/digital.

The new album blends anxiety and doom with aggression -- minus the conspiracy theories.

“The new album has some synth textures, but for Security we had a different sort of goal,” says Ryan Patterson of thhe band. “We recorded most of the music live, and what you’re hearing is primarily guitar, bass, and drum machine. So there are plenty of Soviet-era analog synths, but not anywhere near the amount that there has been with Fotocrime previously.”

The new record includes new members Benjamin Clark on guitar and David Cundiff on bass, plus guest contributions from drummer Jay Weinberg (Suicidal Tendencies, ex-Slipknot), vocalist Barney Greenway of Napalm Death, the band Sumac, Nick Theinman and Evan Patterson of Young Widows, Nico and Phab of Bleakness, and many Louisville, KY artists. The first single is out now.

Security track listing:

  1. Crimewave
  2. Plowjob
  3. Shockwave
  4. Unthinkable
  5. Disharmonizer
  6. Intimidation
  7. Dreamstate
  8. Cautious
