New Idea Society, an ever-changing project led by Stephen Brodsky (Cave In, Mutoid Man) and Mike Law (Wild Arrows, Eulcid), has announced a new album and a new single too.

The band shares "Dancing Horse"  today, the first single from a new record called Fire on the Hill, the band's fourth full-length album, which will release on Relapse Records.

"Part of 'Dancing Horse' first appeared all the way back in 2007 and it took a lot of forms over the years that never quite worked. Then out of nowhere it arrived somehow fully re-formed and totally realized into one of my favorite songs I've ever been a part of," Law says in a statement. "The original idea started on an August night in Budapest and was tied together one August morning in 2024 back in Massachusetts. It was one of those moments where Steve reached deep and found something that had been floating around in another universe and brought it to ours."

Live dates are imminent as well.

Fire On The Hill track list:

  1. Sharing Arrows
  2. Giant Sky Wheel
  3. Nightbirds
  4. Lantern
  5. Dancing Horse
  6. Before Morning
  7. When Morning Comes Around
  8. High And Blue
  9. Ladybug Lay
