Andy Blade (Eater) has released a new EP of songs co-written with Brian James (The Damned), a 3-song collection called Ain't That A Shame, out April 24 on Antenna Records (vinyl) and Cherry Red (digital).

The title track was written nearly 50 yeras ago, in 1978, by Andy Blade (formerly of Eater), Brian James (founding member of The Damned), and Mark Laff of Generation X in a late night studio session. The project never panned out, but later James reworked “Ain’t That A Shame” (originally titled "Im Not Taking All The Blame” with Blade’s lyrics) for hist first solo record, prior to joining The Lords of the New Church.

In 2025 Blade decided to re-record the original version with Billy King (John Mckays Reactor) in tribute thel ate James.
