Swiss post-rock band hubris., who seem to lack the hubris of capitalization, has shared "Death" from their upcomign new album White Shores.
"Death is the song that started it all. It was the first piece I composed after my grandfather passed away, and those opening chords became the foundation for the entire album," Jonathan shares in a press release. "I’ve always seen our records as a single body of work rather than a collection of separate songs, and this album is no exception. Each track was written at a different stage of my grieving process. The songs reflect my feelings in those moments as well as the evolution of my understanding of "death" as a concept," he adds, also citing a Tolkien influence throughout.
The band last released The One Above in 2023.
White Shores will be self-released and comes out on Sept. 10.
