Modern Life Is War has announced a run of mostly southern US states in September, leading up to the band's first new album in 12 years, Life On The Moon, out Sept. 5 (Deathwish Inc. - digital / Iodine Recordings - physical).
The band shared "Bloodsport" today with vocalist/lyricist Jeff Eaton explaining, "The opening guitars ride on the dystopian Dead Kennedy’s violent wave. At first I took my time, waited to come in and imagined the energy it might take for one voice to ignite the spark of a riot and crush the hateful opposition with a loving fury of art, kindness and community. Violently only if necessary, and then decisively. I wrote this lyric the night before I tracked the final version in a fury with few revisions. I wanted to be as immediate and direct as possible, and hammer home a few simple points that I didn’t want to be lyrically coded about. Put me on the dissident list for '25 and '26, cause I’m against it."
