Bitters and Distractions

Travis (Bitters and Distractions – guitar / backup vocals)

SPB: It seems you’re mostly releasing singles, as compared to EP/LP. Is there a personal preference or deeper reason why?

Travis: You’re correct that we’ve released a significant number of singles over the years. To be more specific, we’ve put out five EPs and five singles, one of which includes two tracks.

We’ve always been drawn to releasing music frequently, especially when the lyrics reflect where we are in our lives at that exact moment. Because we don’t want to delay releases to the point where the message no longer feels relevant, we make an effort to share our music as quickly as possible.

As a result, we’ve released a larger number of singles to maintain that immediacy. You can count on the fact that if you’re listening to a new Bitters and Distractions song, the lyrics genuinely represent where we are in our lives right now.
