New Found Glory Prepares New Release

Posted in Records on June 23, 2007

New Found Glory's upcoming full-length, From the Screen to Your Stereo 2, will be released on September 18th via Drive-Thru Records. The album will be comprised of twelve different covers, including covers of “Kiss Me” by Sixpence None the Richer from She's All That, “Stay” by Lisa Loeb from Reality Bites, and “Iris” by The Goo Goo Dolls from City Of Angels. The disc features vocals from special guest musicians with more to be announced, including Lisa Loeb, Adam Lazarra from Taking Back Sunday, Will Pugh from Cartel, and Sherri DuPree from Eisley. Guitarist Chad Gilbert had this to say about the record:
We're really excited to finally be able to record this record. Our fans have been asking for it and I think people will be super surprised. There are a couple covers to be expected but most of them you would never expect to hear played NFG style. Most of the time, New Found Glory's lyrics have a serious message but we know that music is supposed to be fun. That's why this record is important; something to laugh at, sing along to and have a good time.
New Found Glory released Coming Home last year with Geffen prior to their split with the label.
